Ship to Shore

Our Bell JetRanger is equipped with emergency pop-out floats which enables a safe flight over water in accordance with all Civil Aviation Regulations.

The HeliServices JetRanger is also equipped for search and rescue missions off the East Coast of Australia.

HeliServices has been the sole aerial transfer provider of crew, supplies and equipment to and from ships off the Port of Newcastle for over 12 years.

Newcastle is the largest coal export shipping port in the world catering for upwards of 2000 movements per annum.

Aerial Crane

Aerial lifting by helicopter also forms part of our operations and is as diverse as differing aircraft types.  Be it lifting an air conditioning unit onto a building or transporting engine parts from a vessel at anchorage in need of land base repairs, the helicopter provides versatility and speed coupled with safety and cost effectiveness.

Depending on the weight and dimensions to be lifted we have an aircraft
that can accomplish the task safely.

Fire Fighting

As an experienced aviation organisation HeliServices Newcastle & Hunter provides aerial support for fire suppression to the Rural Fire Services and Government Fire authorities. This specialised operational arm of HeliServices Newcastle & Hunter provides not only the helicopter but also a comprehensive equipment package including aerial water bombing buckets, sling lines, cargo nets, communication equipment and trained ground personnel to assist the pilot in the field during such operations.

Flood Relief

From one extreme to the other, HeliServices Newcastle & Hunter also provides emergency response tasking to such organisations as the State Emergency Services and National Parks and Wildlife Services during floods.

Our tasks include emergency response crew deployment to the field, evacuation, surveillance, fodder drops, food and parcel drops.
